Edinburgh University
Dr. Kirsty Collinge joined the University of Edinburgh in
2018 as Strategic Research Executive within the Research Support Office. As a
member of the Strategic Research Initiatives Team, Kirsty is responsible for
analysing influencers and drivers of investment in research, identifying
potential new funding opportunities, and developing and implementing projects
designed to increase and diversify research funding across the University.
Prior to joining the University of Edinburgh, Kirsty worked
as Research Development Advisor (Strategy) within the School of Engineering and
Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University (2016-2018) and as Research and
Knowledge Exchange Data Manager within the Research Strategy and Innovation
Office at the University of Glasgow (2012-2016). Between 2008 and 2011 Kirsty worked
as a Post-doctoral Researcher investigating the impact of Norse settlement and
agriculture on soils of southwest Greenland. Kirsty holds a BA in Geography and
Archaeology, and an MSc in Environmental Monitoring, Modelling and
Reconstruction from the University of Manchester, and a PhD in Geoarchaeology
from the University of Stirling.
