Prof Özlem Gökkurt Demirtel graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History, and Geography, Department of Librarianship. Dr. Gökkurt Demirtel’s Ph.D. subject is Citation Index and Citation Analysis. After working as a librarian at UNICEF, METU, and Central Bank, she started working as a Research Assistant at the Department of Information and Document Management at Ankara University and continued her academic studies in USA, New York at St. John’s University, between 2000 and2005. Prof Gökkurt Demirtel continues her academic work atAnkara University on Bibliometrics, along with the subjects of content management tools development and electronic document management such as conceptual index and indexing, classification, metadata by using information resources management.
